I spent the Summer of 2014 on a high: 'Off University' may not have been the most perfect miniseries ever, but I was eager to further prove my worth to ChomPics Founders and EPs Beth Benge and Connor Hachey. I spent much of the summer writing short film scripts ("I.F." and "Traversing the Elements"). I even found myself researching the ins and outs of music supervision, having married my two loves: television and music. It would seem as though my creative animus was not without company; my ChomPics friends seemed just as eager to collaborate on any idea we might conceive. Even people I hadn't met before had caught onto the buzz ChomPics had generated, and I soon found myself among a pool of talent I would have killed to be a part of my freshman year. So you can imagine how ecstatic I was that Fall to discover that I had been selected as one of the four Associate Producers of ChomPics Productions. In what seemed like the blink of an eye, I had gone from an accounting major with an identity crisis to living my dream of producing a television program. We shot most of this series at my house and I have no idea how so many people squeezed in our living room on filming days. All I know is art direction did our dishes, and my roommates loved it.
