Live From the WaffleHouse by J Waffles

It was by mistake that I ended up as one of the primary producers of this mixtape. I was hanging out at Jacob Nesler's apartment, messing around with his keyboard when he told me that our other friend named Jacob was coming over to record his mixtape. The project wasn't news to me; I had long supported his rapping, encouraging 'Freestyle Fridays' whenever possible. What I didn't expect was to already be at the studio when the work started. Over the course of Summer 2016, the recording and production of 'Live From the WaffleHouse" would take place at either of the two Jacobs' homes. Allowing my classical musical training to guide me, I acted as a lyrical consultant to Jacob Brownell (a.k.a. J Waffles) and a second pair of ears to executive producer/engineer Jacob Nesler. What resulted is a whimsical independent hip-hop mixtape that still manages to deliver a refreshing amount of candor.
